Barry Brakey
Non-Executive Chair
Barry is a highly experienced global real estate investor with deep market knowledge and investment expertise.
Barry joined the Madigan Board as a Non-Executive Director in February 2021 representing CC Real, where he currently serves as a Managing Partner. Prior to this, Barry led the formation and execution of Australia’s Sovereign Wealth Fund, the Future Fund, property strategy growing the portfolio to an equity value of approximately A$9bn.
Prior to joining Future Fund, Barry led property advisory practice Pinnacle Property Group for approximately 20 years.
Barry has been active through industry bodies including past National President of the Australian Property Institute and past National Director of the Property Industry Foundation. He has also served on various other non-executive directorship and advisory committee positions, including as a member of the Future Fund’s Investment Committee.
