PressMadigan Capital Bolsters Growth with Increased Backing from CC Real

Australian real estate debt investment firm, Madigan Capital has entered its next phase of growth with European commercial real estate manager, CC Real increasing its ownership stake in the firm.
The transaction follows the planned retirement of Founder and Executive Chair, Michael Wood and results in CC Real materially increasing its investment, with remaining ownership retained by senior members of the Madigan leadership team.
CC Real’s increased stake deepens a long-standing partnership with Madigan Capital and reflects continued confidence in the firm’s team, leadership, strategy and governance.
CC Real Managing Partner, Barry Brakey will resume his role as Chair of the Madigan Capital Board and explains the investment underscores a long-term commitment to supporting the highly capable team as the firm evolves.
“Australian real estate debt, when executed with discipline, offers attractive risk-adjusted returns. We have full confidence in the ability of Madigan’s leadership, and the broader team, to capitalise on market opportunities and continue building high-quality portfolios for investors to drive the business forward,” said Mr Brakey.
Madigan Capital CEO, Chris Wilson, who will also join the board and Chair the Investment Committee, said the transaction strengthens the platform while preserving continuity.
“We welcome the increased investment from CC Real, which reinforces Madigan’s stability and enhances our capacity to respond to evolving market opportunities while continuing to deliver a best‑in‑class real estate debt platform supported by both domestic and global capital,” said Mr Wilson.
